About Me

Currently working in an impact investing firm, Wesley’s role is mainly conducting due diligence and financial modeling for companies based in Africa.

Prior to his interest in impact investing, Wesley was passionate about uncovering undervalued companies in the Asian public markets and managed his own investment fund from charitable contributions, successfully generating returns annually from investments.

Wesley’s previous experience includes an internship with Chartwell Capital, a fund management company in Hong Kong where he performed analysis of listed securities on the Asian markets. Prior to that, he spent the summer working in an asset management company in Singapore, performing valuations and analysis of public listed companies in the Asia Ex-Japan region. While in Mexico, he volunteered for two months at Fundación Infantia, a non-profit organization that provides support and help to at-risk youths and victims of human trafficking – reducing the organization’s dependence on donations from 50% to 25% through the design of sustainable B2B funding models.

A native Singaporean, Wesley holds a Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy and Finance from Singapore Management University. Wesley spent six months in Mexico and a semester studying abroad in Canada. Prior to entering university, he spent two years serving in the Singapore Military. Wesley speaks English, Mandarin, Spanish and Hokkien.
